Combat Gear – What You Need to Know

Combat Gear https://pts-steelshop.com/collections/combat-gear is clothing and equipment designed for military, law enforcement, fire, EMS and security markets. It is also popular with CrossFit athletes, bow hunters and dads.

These groups co-opt attire designed for the Special Forces, presumably to project power and prestige in their communities. But what is driving the growth of this market?

Pen Pockets

Located on the sleeves of combat shirts, these pockets are designed for writing utensils. They are closed by a zipper or hook-and-loop Velcro, and they make it easy to access the tools you need when on the go.

Aside from the obvious, pen-focused martial arts classes, tactical pens can also be used to break glass in a car accident or to alert others to your predicament if you’re trapped in a submerged vehicle. They’re also useful if you can’t carry a pocket knife or pepper spray.

To make one, fold the short ends of a piece of scrap leather about 1/2 inch down and iron to crease them. Then, pin the long edges to the strap, about 1/8 inch from the edge of the belt. Finally, sew the long edges to the strap. If you want to make multiple pens, simply repeat the process for each one. The finished product looks like a regular pen, so it can be easily hidden in a uniform or jacket pocket.

Shoulder Pockets

The shoulder pocket is a convenient and lightweight way to add storage without adding noticeable bulk. It snaps open and shut easily to fit most phones, small point-and-shoot cameras or a 500ml soft water flask. It connects to your shoulder strap daisy chain webbing via quick clips on top and bottom. It’s a great addition to the Gossamer Gear pack line and fits most packs with vertical daisy chains on the shoudler strap.

It’s also compatible with the Peak Design Capture Clip. However, depending on how heavily you load it up, it can feel a bit bulky on your shoulders and might require a little practice to get used to.

A service member’s branch of service is clearly visible thanks to the military rank patch that sits above their front left pocket. The simple design makes it easy for others to identify their rank and know how to address them. This is especially important in a warzone where many of the people you encounter might not speak your language.

Reinforced Elbows

Elbow pads are a vital piece of gear for combat sports. They allow fighters to practice elbow strikes without fear of hurting their partner and help them develop their technique. However, they often receive less attention than other equipment, such as knee pads and headgear.

The elbows of this garment are reinforced with a special material that can withstand extreme temperatures and pressure. The reinforcement reduces strain on the elbows during training by absorbing energy, making it possible to continue sparring for longer. In addition, the material does not swell or burst under pressure. The material also allows your skin to breathe and helps keep you warm. The fabric is woven from a tough and durable rip-stop twill. Its torso area features a thick cotton/polyester rip-stop knit with great wearing comfort and moisture-wicking properties. The sleeve and collar areas feature large hook-and-loop Velcro panels for unit ID, skill tabs and morale patches. The mandarin collar folds down and can be secured under the opposite collar using a Velcro tab.

Torso Fabric

Torso Fabric is a fabric that is woven to provide flame resistance, and can be used in clothing and other equipment. The fabric can be made to resemble any material, and is available in a variety of colors. It is also resistant to abrasion and mildew. It is also highly flexible. This is a great option for military gear.

The G4 Combat Gear Shirt is an evolution of the excellent G3 item, but it makes clever – and subtle – changes that take advantage of Crye’s new VTX stretch fabric. It has a simpler bellows pocket structure, and side zips instead of top end velcro flaps on the elbow pad pockets.

This Linen Female Fabric Torso with Poseable Plastic Arms can be a stylish addition to any showroom or store display. The torso stands on an adjustable wooden tripod stand that is easy to adjust to different heights.
